Alex Paxton-Beesley most recently starred in the second season of the CTV/Hulu hit series Cardinal.
She plays the female lead in the hit series Pure, a gritty drama about a Mennonite pastor battling drug trafficking within his community.  Alex first came to audiences’ attention for her role in the BBC America series Copper, which she followed with a recurring role on Guillermo del Toro’s FX series The Strain.

Alex’s other film and television credits include Guilty at 17 (Lifetime), The Good Witch (Hallmark), Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Rookie Blue (ABC), Impulse (Youtube Red), Suits (NBC), Flashpoint (CBS), The Firm (NBC), Minority Report (Fox) and Christmas with Holly (Hallmark).

A Toronto native, Alex is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School and of the CFC Actors’ Conservatory.  She has performed with the Theatre Aquarius, the Company Theatre and the Canadian Sate Company / Citadel Theatre in the Canadian premiere of Tom Stoppard’s Rock N’ Roll.
